Find Your Superpower!

Life gets tough. Especially if you are trying to follow Jesus. He prayed to his Father, “I have given them your word and the world hated them because they do not belong to the world–just as I myself do not belong to the world.” (John 17:14) When you are walking with Satan he feels secure enough to walk away from you for a while, but as soon as you start to turn toward Jesus you get Satan’s attention. There’s no way around it. You can’t hide your heart in the spiritual world. God and Satan are both aware of where your allegiance falls.

What do you do when you feel attacked? Do you call on your spiritual family for prayer? Do you believe in the power of prayer? Do you know that Jesus prayed to his Father for you? “I pray…for those who will trust in me…that they may be one.” John 17:20-21) “I don’t ask you to take them out of the world, but to protect them from Evil One…. Set them apart for holiness by means of the truth–your word is truth.” (John 17:15-17) “I made your name known to them, and will continue to make it known; so that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I myself may be united with them.” (John 17:26) You have united with Jesus already if you are a child of God. You don’t need any other superpower than what is already available to you through Christ.

Prayer, without selfish motives, can move God to place perfectly timed miracles along your path as hidden treasures to discover. Talk with him, walk with him, and let him show you greater things than you ever imagined possible.
