Tell Me More

Written in 2020 but the message remains the same.

If Jesus came back today would you be ready, prepared, and overjoyed, or would you be caught with your focus on things of this world? Do you seek knowledge, and if you do, knowledge about what? Where do you look to learn the things you want to know? Is your main concern on the virus, racial injustice, violence, or perhaps the election? Do you look to the news and if so which reporters do you trust. Perhaps you depend on social media to keep you informed. Again–who do you trust?

The Bible tells us: “My people are destroyed for want of knowledge.” (Hosea 4:6) It isn’t worldly knowledge that Father is concerned about. He’s talking to His cohen or priests. He’s telling them that because they reject knowledge, their flock will not see heaven.

I recently felt Father’s nudge to begin attending a different church. I found nothing wrong in the teaching of the church I was at, I just felt like I needed more, more fire, and more Living Water to quench it. On top of learning about how to love and live like Jesus–which is top priority, I believe we are also to be groomed to be watchmen and warriors. I don’t think too many Christians disagree that we are in the final war, but I feel the world is far too stagnant and therefore, not much of a threat to Satan’s plan.

So many people, including God’s people, seem to be caught up thinking of health and safety yet forgetting the best place to find it. Does your pastor remind you that heaven and hell are real? Are you challenged to keep watch and not let your oil run out? Just as easily as the fly that snuck into my coffee and found its way into my mouth, Satan will invade your heart if you are not alert.

Our world is full of dangers and everyone wants you to know, it seems. The Bible is full of dangers and the remedy to any issue you will face but how many times do you turn the T.V. on before you open the Book? Who’s knowledge do you seek? Are you looking to truly live or just survive? Are you at home here? Are you stagnant? Do you need to lose the scales on your eyes or have your ears unstopped? Ask Father for knowledge and for leaders who continually seek to know more from our Heavenly Father.
